The Chroma 52912 programmable DC power supply is specifically designed for test applications that require precise output for voltage/current and tightly coupled measurement functions.
< p>The 52912 is characterized by fast I/V adjustment with subsequent automatic I/V measurement without intervention on the part of the processor. Furthermore, the power supply has a hardware sequence list that can execute commands and store data in the FiFO without processor intervention. When you tightly integrate a Chroma 52912, you get high speeds for high throughput and high measurement accuracy and repeatability for yield integrity.
The 52912 programmable power supplies have two 60W (MAX) independent and isolated power supplies, with each channel ranging from 0 – 48 VDC can be programmed to a maximum of 2.0 Amp. The 52912 features a programmable current limit to protect critical DUTs from excessive current flow, with the output automatically switching to constant current mode when the limit is reached. For larger power or voltage applications, the channels can be connected in series or parallel.
This prevents excessive power from the PXI -Backplane is removed, the 52912 draws its input power (+56 VDC) via front panel connections. This not only reduces the power required by the backplane, but also maintains complete isolation between the backplane logic and power conversion circuitry for noise immunity. For applications that do not have +56 VDC, the Chroma 52912 offers an optional AC-DC adapter that allows the instrument to operate at 100 – 240V AC mains power can be operated.
