The XLN series from B&K Precision consists of programmable, single-channel DC power supplies that deliver a clean output power of up to 1560 watts. Thanks to their compact 1U rack design, they are suitable for both laboratory operation and system integration. While many comparable power supply units are primarily designed for automated test systems (ATE), the XLN series has been specially developed for flexible applications.
Main features of the XLN series
- Compact, high-density 1U design
- USB and RS485 interfaces as standard, optional GPIB and LAN
- External analog programming
- List mode for performing test sequences with up to 150 steps
- Fast command processing with an average < 50 ms
- Programmable voltage and current slew rates for "soft-start" solutions
- Internal memory for up to 10 device settings
- Parallel or serial connection of up to four devices (high current models for serial connection only)
- Extensive protection features: OVP (overvoltage protection), OCP (overcurrent protection), OPP (overload protection), OTP (overtemperature protection), foldback mode and key lock
Applications
The XLN series is ideal for ATE system integration, research and development, quality assurance and burn-in testing of products. Thanks to its comprehensive protection mechanisms, precise control options and remote control capability, it is particularly suitable for demanding test environments.
The XLN10014-GL variant offers a maximum output voltage of 100 V and a maximum output current of 14.4 A with a total power of 1440 W. This model is ideal for applications that require high voltages while maintaining a moderate current.
Differences between the XLN10014-GL and other models in the series
- Compared to the high current models (e.g. XLN3640-GL with 40 A), the XLN10014-GL offers a higher voltage.
- Compared to the high voltage models (e.g. XLN15010-GL or XLN30052-GL), the XLN10014-GL has a lower maximum voltage, but a higher current output.
- Like all models in the XLN series, it offers versatile interface options for system integration and remote control.
