The Picotest P2103A probe is a differential browser probe with 100 Ohm input impedance for TDR/TDT applications. The precision probe supports a variety of measurements.
The P2103A is referred to as a "browser" probe because it can be easily and quickly moved from point to point or from line to line by repositioning the measurement points. The probe achieves very low tip inductance to alleviate space constraints on a dense PCB. At the same time, there is no need to add additional SMA connectors or other test points required for impedance measurements. It is particularly useful when evaluating multiple pairs of traces and there is no time for board iterations to provide test point implementations for each one. Repeated measurements are simplified because the connection is made by simply placing the tips on existing traces. The fixed distances between the signal pins ensure highly reliable and repeatable data measurements. The robust, ergonomic design allows for easy handheld TDR measurements. The slim housing with the extended tips enables a good view of the measurement object.
The probe has two fixed pin pitches: 50mm and 100mm.
The Picotest P2103A differential probe is also available as a bundle with the Picotest J2154A TDR.
