The R-Series reconfigurable multifunction module, PXI 7854R, features the Virtex-5 LX110 user-programmable FPGA for integrated processing and direct control of I/O signals, providing complete system timing and synchronization flexibility. The modules feature eight analog inputs, eight analog outputs and 96 digital I/Os and can be customized with the LabVIEW FPGA Module to develop applications that require precise timing, control and regulation, such as hardware-in-the-loop testing, custom communication protocols, sensor simulation and high-speed control. The PXI 7854R module includes a dedicated A/D converter per channel for independent timing and triggering functions. This enables special functions such as different sample rates (up to 750 kS/s per channel) and triggering of individual channels that are not available in typical data acquisition hardware.
