The cDAQ ‑ 9171 is a bus-powered CompactDAQ ‑ USB chassis that is suitable for compact, portable sensor measurement systems. The chassis offers the plug and play functionality of USB for sensors and electrical measurements. It also controls the timing, synchronization and data transfer between I / O modules of the C-Series and an external host computer. The chassis can be combined with various I / O modules of the C-series in order to carry out different analog and digital I / O as well as counter / timer measurements. The cDAQ ‑ 9171 has four universal 32 ‑ bit counters / timers that can be accessed via an installed, hardware ‑ clocked digital module of the C ‑ series, which is used for applications with quadrature encoders, pulse width modulation, event counting, pulse train generation and period or frequency measurements can be used.
