The NI 6584 is a digital I/O adapter module that, in conjunction with a FlexRIO PXI FPGA module or the controller for FlexRIO, forms a digital measuring device for connecting 16 RX and TX pairs of RS-485 or RS-422 interfaces. This digital I/O adapter module for FlexRIO can be used for real-time connection and analysis of RS-485 and RS-422 as well as other electrically compatible interfaces. The NI 6584 is used for sampling signal sequences with clock rates of 16 MHz. It has a 100 Ohm terminating resistor and is operated in half-duplex mode.
