The I-V400w enables the determination of the current-voltage characteristic of single photovoltaic modules as well as of a module string up to max.1000V and 15A. With a simple push of a button, the current power (Mpp), the peak power, the short-circuit current and the open circuit voltage are shown on the graphic display and automatically converted to standard test conditions (STC). The comparison between the measured and specified characteristic curve of the manufacturer (up to 35 modules with their technical data can be stored in the module database of the I-V400w at the same time) allows immediate conclusions to be drawn about the current quality status of the PV modules.
After the measurement, the measurement data and the characteristic curve can be saved with 3 reference numbers (system, string, module number) and text comment in the I-V400w and transferred to the PC via the optically isolated interface or via WiFi and evaluated for further processing (protocol) .
The I-V400w has a database with the characteristics of the most common PV modules. This database can be expanded or updated at any time by the user directly or via the PC interface with the TOPVIEW software.
The following measured values are displayed directly on the IV 400 screen:
- Peak power (at STC) and the currently measured power (MPP)
- Short circuit current Isc and open circuit voltage Uoc, as well as Impp and Umpp
- Filling factor FF in%
- a graphical representation of the UI and PWR characteristics for OPC and STC
- the overall result of the OK / NOK test
