Description
GDM-8351 | Multimeter, TRMS, 5½, DCV 0.012%
Please Note: This device is currently delivered without GPIB interface.
The 5 ½-digit GDM-8251A digital multimeter from GW Instek hides some measurement functions that are not available with classic multimeters.
The GDM-8351A offers a total of 12 standard measurements, mathematical functions that can be applied to the measured values. The dual display enables the simultaneous display of 2 measured values. If either ACV or DCV or ACI or DCI or resistance (2- or 4-wire measurement) or frequency or period is shown in display 1, the values of ACV or DCV or ACI or. DCI or frequency or period of another measured value are displayed simultaneously.
In addition, capacitance measurements, temperature measurements, min / max values can be measured with the digital multimeter and with the mathematical functions also comparison measurements, hold function, algorithms such as m * X + B (m factor, X measured value, B offset), 1 / X ,% Values, dB and dBm feasible.
The basic accuracy of the device is 0.012% for DC voltage measurements.
Furthermore, the device is equipped with a vacuum fluorescence display and offers the interfaces USB and RS232C for connection to a PC for integration into an automatic test system.
With the remote control of the device via USB, the user has the option of selecting the mode USBCDC (USB communications device class) or USBTMC (Universal Serial Bus Test and Measurement Class). This makes it possible to control the device in USBTMC mode as if it were equipped with a GPIB interface. With this option, the expensive GPIB cable is no longer required.
The I / O interface is not only used by the "comparison function as an output, but each output line can be defined as a signal output. In the "self-definition" mode, the user can use the output for additional digital control circuits. The device can thus be controlled from the I / O interface.
The main areas of application for this device are in research, development, production and training.
