The Fluke MDA-550 Series III portable motor drive analyzer is the versatile 3-in-1 analysis instrument - motor drive analyzer, waveform analyzer and data logger in one.

The MDA-550 saves time and makes it easier to set up complex measurements on complex motor drives. At the same time, it simplifies troubleshooting. Thanks to the guided test sequences , step-by-step instructions show you exactly where connections for voltage and current measurements have to be made. The preset measurement profiles ensure that you acquire all the data you need for all important sections of the motor drive - from input to output, from the DC link to the motor itself. The MDA-550 offers you everything you need, from basic to too demanding measurements.

The engine analyzer is equipped with a built-in report generator that allows you to quickly and easily generate reliable reports on the condition before and after the problem has been resolved.

The MDA-550 is the ideal portable measuring device for the analysis of motor drives and helps you to search for and correct errors typical of systems with inverter-controlled motor drives.

Product features:

  • Measure key parameters of motor drives , including voltage, current, DC bus voltage level and AC ripple voltage, voltage and current imbalance and harmonics, voltage modulation and voltage discharges on the motor shaft.
  • Extensive harmonic measurements to determine the effects of low and high order harmonics on the power system.
  • Guided measurements at the input of the motor drive, DC bus, output of the drive, input and shaft of the motor, with step-by-step instructions on voltage and current connections in graphic form.
  • Simplified measurement settings with preset measurement profiles for automatic triggering of data acquisition based on the selected test method.
  • Quick and easy creation of reports for perfect documentation of troubleshooting and collaboration with others.
  • Measure additional electrical parameters using the extensive functions of a 500 MHz oscilloscope, multimeter, and data recording functions for seamless measurement of electrical and electronic parameters in industrial systems.
  • Designed in accordance with measurement categories CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V for measurements on supply cables, busbars or sub-distributors
