The FI2-7000 FiberInspector Pro is used to quickly check and certify fiber optic end faces in connectors or patch cables. Faults in fiber optic cabling are mainly due to contaminated end faces. Dirt and impurities can cause insertion loss and reflections that hinder optical transmission and interfere with the operation of transceivers. In view of the ever higher data rates, the inspection of the end faces is therefore a particular focus. Impurities can be eliminated in good time before the optical fibers are inserted into a built-in connector or device.
