Description
61812 | 4-quadrant AC source, regenerative, 61800 series, 12 kVA, 350 V, 30 to 100 Hz, grid simulation, grid simulator
The Chroma 61800 series of regenerative grid simulators with a height of 3U includes three models with rated outputs of 9 kVA, 12 kVA and 15 kVA as well as single-phase and three-phase operation. With output voltages of up to 350 VLN and 606 VLL, each model achieves 700 VLN through a single-phase 3-wire system. Users can increase the output power by configuring up to 3 units in parallel.
The Chroma 61809/61812/61815 models are regenerative and offer an energy-saving overall solution. The electricity generated by the test object can be fed back into the grid in an environmentally friendly and cost-saving manner, instead of being lost as heat. Thanks to this capability, these models can be used for applications in environmentally friendly energy products, such as PV inverters, energy storage systems (ESS), power processing systems (PCS), microgrids, power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL), dynamic charging current control for electric vehicles ( EVSE), on-board chargers (OBC) and bidirectional on-board chargers (BOBC) etc.
Using fully digital control technology, these models offer a maximum output voltage of 350 VLN and an output frequency of 30 Hz to 100 Hz. The total harmonic distortion is less than 0.5% at full load and 50 Hz / 60 Hz output frequency. In addition to the AC output, a DC output mode and an AC plus DC output mode are included, which can be expanded to DC testing and AC testing with DC bias. The current output capacitance can deliver 3 times the rms peak current, which is suitable for an inrush current test at the DUT input.
The models can also provide precision measurements such as rms voltage, rms current, active power, power factor, crest factor and many others. Using advanced DSP technology, you can easily simulate power line disturbances (PLD) using the LIST, PULSE and STEP modes. Additional functions such as the waveform synthesis function allow the user to program various distorted harmonics required by some regulatory standards.
Users can quickly familiarize themselves with the operation of the device via the intuitive 5-inch LCD touchscreen. The remote interfaces include a USB and a LAN interface as standard, as well as an optional GPIB and CAN interface. The units can be controlled via a computer and the Chroma soft panel software for fast digital operation. Chroma also provides controller drivers that allow users to use LabVIEW software to program control system integration applications.
The Chroma 61812 variant has a maximum output power of 12 kVA, a voltage range of 0 - 350 V / 96 A. Alternatively, the Chroma 61800 series also includes models with 9 kVA (61809) and 15 kVA (61815).
