The voltage tester (VAT) CA 742 is an indispensable aid for every electrician to check the absence of voltage before intervening in an electrical system connected to the mains. It complies with the IEC 61243-3 Edition 2 standard and can therefore be used with all indoor and outdoor systems in the 600 V CAT IV category. The CA742 has an ELV LED that flashes as soon as a voltage of more than 50 VAC or 120 VDC is present via a redundant safety system. During the comprehensive self-test of the CA 742, the electrical circuits, the power supply, the displays and the faultless condition of the test leads are checked. The test tip and the leads are removable. With the optional CA 753 adapter, tests can be carried out quickly and easily on safety plug sockets.
