The 8500B DC electronic load is a powerful, versatile test device for laboratories and production environments. It was specially developed for the development and testing of power supply units, batteries, chargers, solar cells and DC-DC converters. Thanks to the various operating modes (CC, CV, CR, CW) and the extensive trigger and test functions, this model is ideal for demanding test scenarios.
Outstanding features include the integrated battery test mode, automatic test sequences, transient mode with adjustable slew rate and the ability to simulate complex load profiles in list mode. It is easy to operate via the front control panel with rotary control, keypad and a clearly legible dual display.
The 8500B series offers a selection of models for different performance requirements. The 8500B model is a balanced mid-range device with 300 W power and 150 V voltage, ideal for standard applications. In comparison, the 8510B offers twice the power (600 W) at a lower voltage (120 V), making it suitable for high-current applications. The 8502B also has 300 W of power, but at up to 500 V, making it ideal for high voltage testing. The entry-level model 8542B delivers 150 W and is suitable for smaller loads. The top model 8514B offers a huge 1500 W at 240 A and is suitable for industrial applications with high power requirements.
