The 1696B series from B&K Precision includes compact, programmable 200W DC power supplies that offer a variety of control and protection features. They are equipped with features normally found in more powerful and expensive devices. These include list mode programming for repeatable sequences and 10 user-defined voltage and current presets for a quick return to specific settings.

The 1698B power supply presented here is a variant of the series that offers extended voltage regulation from 1 to 80 V at a maximum current of 3.3 A. Compared to the other models in the series, the specifications differ as follows:

- 1697B: 1-40 V / 0-5 A
- 1698B: 1-60 V / 0-3.3 A
